SAILING THE PACIFIC

Day 10/138 Sunrise:  5:55 A.M.  Sunset 5:28 P.M.  We're sailing the Pacific on our way to Cabo San Lucas.  Because of the hull cleaning yesterday taking longer than expected we will not be stopping in Costa Rica.  We're somewhat disappointed because neither of us have been there but we've learned in cruising you need to be prepared for changes in itinerary. We now have six sea days until we reach Cabo our next scheduled port. It has rained off and on today resulting in wet decks and we've been happy to stay inside.

There are many interesting talks aboard and the crafts corner started meeting today.

First Crafts Corner meetup.     I brought some Japanese Sashiko to work on.  There are some very talented women in this group including knitters, crocheters, painting, crewel, hand embroidery, dot painting and watercolors.  We're scheduled to meet again tomorrow morning.  It was fun to hang out with these ladies and of course I ran into many of them later on the ship.  While we were busy crafting ( but mostly talking) some of my other new cruising friends stopped by to see what we were doing.

Last night Viking gifted all of us with a very nice tote bag.  John thought that the men would have appreciated the bags more if they had been filled with tools.
Nice tote bags from Viking.

I stopped by the spa today to inquire about the cost of a haircut on board the ship. Just a cut- no washing, drying or styling would be $75.  The cost in Yuma is SIGNIFICANTLY lower.  John thought I'd probably be happy getting it done when we're in port and I'll use my shipboard credits to buy jewelry onboard.  Seems like a great idea because diamonds are forever. 💎💎

  1. Nancy says the cut and style she has ever had was on a cruise ship. I'll bet it wasn't $75

  2. If you can wait until New Zealand or Australia no language barrier and much less than $75.
